The Racemax WPNT – Rival XPLR AXS 1×13 Discus 40|30 delivers exceptional performance and value in a race-ready gravel platform. Outfitted with the latest SRAM Rival 1×13-speed drivetrain and paired with the lightweight 3T Discus 4030 carbon wheelset, this build offers remarkable speed, seamless shifting, and efficient power transfer—ideal for high-performance gravel racing and demanding mixed-terrain rides.
At its core is the proven Racemax Integrale UDH carbon frameset, engineered for outstanding stiffness, responsiveness, and control. Premium components such as the 3T Aeroghiaia Integrale LTD handlebar, hydraulic disc brakes, and Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H tires complete a finely tuned machine built for riders who expect top-tier performance without compromising on value.

Hand-painted at a facility located just kilometres from the main office, the team collaborated with renowned paint and finish supplier Lechler to develop four striking new colours designed to stand out from the crowd.

3T Integrale technology: clean, fully internal cable routing though the MORE Integrale stem and 3T carbon dropbar.

Next-level aerodynamics with rear wheel cutout, narrow headtube, bottle shielding downtube & aero profiles all around.

Choose the Racemax if you crave road bike speed on and off-road. Fastest with 29”/700c 35-45mm WAM tires. Compatible with 650b up to 61mm when adventure calls.

"WPNT" stands for "We Paint": a statement that, with the opening of 3T’s new paint facility in Montello (Bergamo province), just a few kilometers from HQ, ideally complements the brand’s slogan: "We Dream We Build We Ride." This strategic investment in painting—3T’s last step to fully control its production process from carbon fiber to a complete, ready-to-ride bike—brings multiple advantages:

Whether riding road or gravel, we love speed. So everything on the Racemax frame is engineered for that. The end result is a fast gravel bike that:
Best of all, the very same Racemax frame can be built up with a focus on pure speed with 35-45mm WAM tires in 700c or it can also be turned into an unstoppable machine with very wide 650b tires up to 61mm WAM. Handy for that epic ride or trip abroad. And with two wheelsets, you can switch between the two setups easily. That’s Racemax.

Internally routed cables can offer aerodynamic benefits, but often at the cost of a wide, bulky headtube and oversized bearings to accommodate the routing. To avoid this compromise, the design team set out to conceal the cables while maintaining a slim, elegant headtube profile—a complex challenge that led to a striking result.
The solution lies in the integration of the 3T Apto Integrale, which retains the original minimalist Apto silhouette while incorporating internal cable guidance. This approach blends aesthetics with practicality, allowing full adjustability of the carbon handlebar—or even the option to swap in another 3T carbon bar—to achieve an optimal fit. After all, aerodynamic gains mean little if the rider can’t maintain a comfortable position.
The Racemax (Integrale) platform is fully compatible with both SRAM and Shimano electronic drivetrains, in 1x and 2x configurations.

Creating the fastest possible gravel bike begins with the tire. Tire selection influences not only comfort and grip, but also how the frame can be shaped to optimize airflow.
To engineer the frame aerodynamically around the tires, it's essential to understand their actual dimensions—not just the labeled size, but how they truly fit in real-world conditions. This approach, known as REALFAST aerodynamics, requires precision, as tire dimensions vary depending on rim choice, air pressure, and the accuracy of the manufacturer’s stated size.
To address this, the team conducted hundreds of measurements to determine true tire widths and radii—referred to as WAM (Width As Measured) and RAM (Radius As Measured)—and used this data to shape the frame accordingly.
Maximum WAM and RAM specifications for the Racemax WPNT can be found here.

Beginning with a selection of preferred tires, the engineering team designed a precisely contoured rear wheel cutout—complete with mud clearance—and a closely trailing downtube to efficiently channel airflow from the front tire. A super-narrow headtube, cleverly housing a large steerer, was paired with a multi-shape fork and aerodynamic refinements extending from seatstay to seatpost, including a shielded water bottle and direct-mount brake interfaces.
Crucially, every element was developed with real-world conditions in mind: actual riding speeds, wind angles, tire widths, bottle placements, and even muddy terrain. The goal wasn’t theoretical wind tunnel performance under idealized setups, but tangible speed and efficiency where it matters most—on the road, in the conditions riders actually face.

Racemax and Racemax Italia share identical geometry, angles, shapes, and tire clearance, though they differ in production techniques—resulting in distinct ride characteristics. The Racemax is crafted using pre-preg carbon technology, delivering a purpose-built race gravel machine. In contrast, the Racemax Italia elevates performance further through 3T’s proprietary filament winding and RTM technology, manufactured directly in Italy, offering enhanced reactivity and rider confidence.
When compared to the Ultra, both Racemax and Racemax Italia offer similar geometry and fit, but with a different character. The Racemax frameset performs best with 35–46mm WAM tires, achieving top speeds that rival high-end road bikes—especially with the benefit of fully integrated cables—while still accommodating up to 61mm WAM 650b tires. The Ultra takes the opposite approach: it’s aerodynamically optimized for 55–61mm WAM 650b tires, thanks to a wider downtube near the front wheel. For those preferring narrower tires, it also supports 700c options up to 46mm WAM. The Racemax emphasizes pure speed, featuring a dedicated aero seatpost and fully hidden cables. Meanwhile, the Ultra pairs its aero seattube with a standard 27.2mm round seatpost and partially external cable routing—ideal for easier maintenance and travel-ready simplicity.
The Primo frame offers a more road-oriented geometry with partially external cable routing, while maintaining excellent compatibility with a wide range of wheels and tires. It’s built for versatility—ready to roll fast on 700c tires or switch to 650b when adventure calls. A true all-rounder.
