Before the first production is run, they test if the prototypes meet the desired DIN Plus Standard. Besides meeting the DIN Plus Standards, all frames are tested to the EU standards by Velotech in Schweinfurt. All frames pass the test which exceed quality and safety standards demanded by the EU. All carbon frames are tested even more extensive. Each individual frame is tested by hand on stiffness; this test is executed multiple directions. The results are documented and archived, each frame having it's own unique certificate. |

DUAL TRAIL CONTROL - is a revolutionary
suspension system that will change the future of mountain biking. CUBE
develop this system step by step with Bodo Prost and offered it only after
it was ready. CUBE's suspension system from a technical point of view is
mature and absolutely unique in the market. The never ending stream of
superb magazine test results confirms this. DUAL TRAIL CONTROL is an intelligent development from the Four Bar Linkage System where the rear triangle has less influence from the pedalling and where the suspension system adopts itself to the characteristics of the terrain. Because of this, the DUAL TRAIL CONTROL is a system that for every type of use offers the best possible bike. The range contains bikes with travel for every type of use with matching geometry. As the bike is able to adapt intelligently to all challenges of the terrain, the suspension is not limited by the design. As the rear triangle is not directly attached to the front frame, this guarantees no influence from the pedalling. The rear triangle is constructed to be floating, attached to the front triangle by the linkage plates. From a kinetic point of view, the path the rear wheel travels and force projected on the shock are designed to eliminate all negative influences from pedalling. At the same time, the suspension is always adapting to the terrain and the energy from pedalling is transformed solely into the forward motion. As a result, from the position of the pivot points, the suspension is also not influenced by braking, no brake-jack will occur. The shock in a DUAL TRAIL CONTROL bike needs only a small amount of platform and should be setup with care. Because of the design, complicated shocks and lock-out function are obsolete. |

CUBE's classic design
Four Bar Linkage mountainbike uses a geometry where the frame design has no
influence or limit to the performance of the suspension. The suspension
system makes it possible to have the optimum geometry. When compressing the
shock, the wheelbase and fork rake changes are minimal. When the
shock is compressed to absorb all the bumps from the surface, there is
hardly any stress applied on the frame. This enables the suspension to
perform in a smooth and fluid motion, even under the high stress applied to
the frame by high speed cornering. It is of the utmost importance to set up
the suspension correctly for the type of riding you do in order not to lose
comfort or performance. The shock is attached to the rear triangle by a swinglink while the shock is attached to the front triangle via a mount. The progressive suspension curve at the end of the stroke allows the suspension enough bottom out resistance even for the roughest terrain. SIZED TUNED KINEMATICS is again an in-house development from CUBE to further improve the highly regarded Four Bar Design. It guarantees every frame will perform with exactly the same characteristics. In other words, all sizes: 16", 18", 20" or 22" have the amount of travel (100mm or 125mm) and offers the same performance. To achieve the goal of SIZED TUNED KINEMATICS, CUBE developed a special 3D-Active Link for every frame size to connect the rear to the front triangle. The dimensions of the links are calculated and developed to get the best and identical performance possible from every specific size frame. Besides the special 3D Technology design and cold-forging, the component has a very high density of molecules, resulting in an extremely rigid material that resists forces projected by torsion. This results in forces applied to the rear triangle being transferred more direct in the suspension when compared to a regular Four Bar Design. In 2008, the AMS family expands with the introduction of the AMS HPC, a high tech carbon bike to complement the range. The AMS HPC is made from high quality HPC fibres by Twin Mold Technology and offers maximum stability. The cross country oriented geometry makes the bike manoeuvrable and efficient while at the same time the firm suspension ensures that the bike will stick to the surface. In short: the AMS HPC is a race bike aimed at performance, with a hard-tail genes and full suspension comfort. CUBE's full range of AMS Bikes feature the SIZED TUNED KINEMATICS. |
